In the Formula BMW you can't shift while you apply full throttle, release the throttle for a moment in order to shift.

This is how the real Formula BMW works, and LFS as a hardcore simulator copies every detail of the real thing

Yeah it's not very fair, the AI drivers simply treat you like you weren't there. But once you've realised that it's possible to adapt to it, because you can predict what they'll do next.

Also this prepares you for the racing quality on most lfs servers.

I think this is some issue with AntiVir, It gives me a similar error message: "Warning: Not enough memory. Could not scan the file", on both your file and mine file.

If you upload your UninstallLFS.exe here we can check the hash of the file (and see if it's infected)

I guess Scenario 2 should run out of fuel much quicker. Because of the drag it takes more energy to maintain a speed of 130mph than a speed of 30mph. So the fuel consumtion should be higher.

Even if you do 7000 rpm in both situations, the amount of fuel injected is computer-controlled depending on the load, thus it can be completely different.

It shows me the 1st place as well, apparently the server that tracks the highscores is down. I'm pretty sure that people still play this, and even if not, all the old highscores were saved on the server.

I agree, to me it feels more lifelike than LFS. Purchased it few days ago and I don't regret it. My favorite combo so far is the F1800 at Aosta, it's like walking on eggs

The malicious lift-off-oversteer when driving the 1600 is gone now, what a pity. I really liked the way it was in step 3/3, the way you had to play with the throttle and brakes to go through the corners, always close to losing control.
